Where to Buy Nangs and Cream Chargers in Melbourne (Woolworths, Coles, Bunnings, Kmart and Amazon, Answered)

Short version. No supermarket, hardware chain or department store in Melbourne sells N2O cream chargers or nang tanks in store, and none of them deliver tonight. What a few of them sell is the dispenser, usually through a third-party marketplace seller, which leaves you with a cream whipper on the bench and no gas to run it. We checked every one of them in October 2026 so you do not have to drive around at 10pm finding out.

Below is what each retailer actually lists, what it costs, and how it compares with getting the same thing brought to your door in 10 to 30 minutes. Everything on this page is for culinary use and every order we take is 18+ with ID checked at the door.

The short answer

Does Woolworths sell cream chargers?

No, and the same goes if you search for cream chargers at Woolies on your phone on the way there. Searching cream chargers on woolworths.com.au returns five products and every one of them is an Everyday Market listing from a third-party seller. Four are aluminium cream whippers between $25.89 and $58.88 and the fifth is a charger holder (a cracker, which does nothing without a charger in it). The listings say the charger is not included, they ship from the seller rather than the store, and nothing on Woolworths shelves contains nitrous oxide. If what you are after is a can of spray cream, that is a different product and our canned whipped cream guide covers which supermarket has it.

Does Coles sell cream chargers?

No. A search for cream chargers on coles.com.au returns USB wall chargers and battery chargers. Coles does not list a cream whipper either, so there is nothing in the dispenser aisle to pair with chargers from elsewhere.

Does Bunnings sell nitrous oxide canisters?

No. Bunnings has no cream charger, N2O canister or nitrous oxide listing of any kind, which is why a search for nitrous oxide canisters Bunnings lands you on nang delivery sites rather than on a Bunnings page. Bunnings sells gas for barbecues and welding, and food-grade nitrous oxide is not part of that range.

Does Kmart sell cream chargers?

Not in store. Kmart’s website does list a 10 pack of Kayser cream charger bulbs at $24.50, but it is sold and shipped by a marketplace seller, it is online only, and each bulb holds 7.5g of gas against the 8g to 8.4g in a standard charger. That is $2.45 a bulb before you have waited for the post. The same site lists cream whippers (Avanti, MasterPro and Appetito at $56.50 to $69.50 when we checked), again through marketplace sellers rather than Kmart itself. For comparison, our 50 pack of Supremewhip 8.2g chargers is $55, which is $1.10 a bulb, and it arrives tonight.

Big W, Target, Aldi and IGA

Big W lists marketplace cream whippers from about $26 and no gas. Target’s cream whipper search returns body creams and a craft kit. We could not find N2O chargers or dispensers at Aldi or IGA either, and nothing suggests any of them stock chargers in store. We have never seen them in a chemist or a tobacconist. If a shop near you does sell them, it is almost always an independent kitchenware or hospitality supplier with trade hours, which is fine at 2pm on a Tuesday and no help on a Saturday night.

Amazon AU and eBay

A search for whipped cream chargers on amazon.com.au returned four results when we checked, a 500ml dispenser, an iSi spare-parts set, a two-pack flavour set and a notebook. No gas. eBay has had charger listings come and go over the years, always posted from interstate sellers over several days, and the seller carries the legal responsibility for who they sell to. Neither is an option for tonight.

So where does Melbourne actually buy nangs?

From a delivery supplier, which is what NangsBoy is. We stock three things.

• Cream chargers, the standard 8g to 8.4g N2O bulbs (Supremewhip 8.2g, Skywhip Pro 8.4g and BestWhip 8g) in packs from 50 to 1,800, from $1.10 a bulb down to under 50 cents by the carton.
• Nang tanks and nitrous oxide canisters, 640g to 3,000g cylinders from Skywhip, Ignite and Miami Magic that hold the gas of 80 to 375 chargers, from $55 a tank, with multi-packs on the bundles page.
• Whipped cream dispensers, the Skywhip Pro 500ml whipper on its own or with 50 to 1,200 chargers in a combo, so you are not left with a dispenser and nothing to put in it.

Is it legal to buy cream chargers in Melbourne?

Yes, for culinary use. Nitrous oxide sold for non-medical use has been a Schedule 6 poison nationally since October 2022, which is why every charger carries a warning label, and Victorian law makes it an offence to sell it to anyone the seller believes intends to inhale it. That is the rule we work to, which is the reason for the ID check and the culinary-only policy. The full state-by-state picture is in are nangs illegal in Australia.

What it costs, supermarket versus delivered
